Bathing to Lose Weight

People have always wished for a magic pill or some other remedy to lose weight magically, with minimal effort. The U.S. weight loss market is now worth a record $72 billion, but the number of dieters has fallen, due to the growth of the size acceptance and body positivity movement. But what if there was a healthy, no-fad-diet way of expelling some extra calories without any exercise? Try a hot bath! An hour in the bath burns an average of 130 calories, or the equivalent of a 30 minute walk, while also reducing sugar spikes. In fact, studies show a hot bath is even more effective at lowering blood sugar levels than the same amount of time spent cycling. While I am all for maintaining a healthy lifestyle that includes daily exercise, I am glad to have another option when Iā€™m not up for it. Just lay back, and let the bath do the hard work.
